The Daddy’s Story

2015

Love and fried chicken go together as well as the two people who built Daddy’s Chicken Shack™. Co-owner and chef Pace Webb told her partner Chris Georgalas about the idea for Daddy’s Chicken Shack on their first date. The rest of the story is deep fried history. 

2018

Starting with a small stand at Smorgasburg, LA’s weekly food festival in downtown Los Angeles, Pace and Chris learned all they needed to know about working together through thick and thin.  Later that year the first Daddy’s location was opened in Pasadena, California in just 700 square feet of a historic building.

2020

The early adoption of emerging technologies drove digital sales off the charts!  Daddy’s sales growth exceeded $1M for the first time from our original location, with 70% off premise sales.  Celeb visits from Jay Leno, Terry Crews, Oscar De La Hoya and David Lee Roth drove up exposure!

2021

Dave Liniger, founder and Chairman of RE/MAX, invests to build Daddy’s into a major brand.  The Daddy’s Franchising Program launches at the Multi-unit Conference focusing on market development with existing operators.
